Happy Mothers Day!

Hey everyone!

This week was cool. We had zone conference which was awesome! In Zone Conference, Elder Cluff and I got to share our experience of finding and teaching Teresa and Javier. I also got to do a special musical number with Elder Lara playing ukuleles and singing "How Can I Be" and that went really well! It was also weird because I listened to the last testimonies of the missionaries I came to the mission with, and who will not be extending. It was crazy to think that almost two years ago we were at our first zone conference thinking the day would never come when we would go home and now, they’re about to head home! I was also asked to accompany a choir of missionaries in the other zone, so we went to the other zone conference too. That was cool.

We also put two people on date this week! Aide is Teresa’s daughter who was on vacation for the last month and couldn’t get baptized with the rest of her family, and also Monserrat, whose mother and aunt are members who are getting active again. That was super awesome.

Saturday was a bit of a bummer because we had 8 lessons scheduled but 6 of them got cancelled, including a family who we thought was golden, but then the dad said no missionaries so we can’t visit them anymore unfortunately.

Sunday we had an awesome family home evening for all the members in Acayuca. We had like 30 people there and it was great! We talked about mothers because of Mother’s Day and a brother made tacos and it was just super cool.

Then today we went on a hike and a guy sold us some relics, which may or may not be fake, but they look cool. Pretty sick.

This week was mother’s day and it made me think a lot about my own mom, and also the women in the scriptures. I realized again this week how much my mom has done for me in my life, and everything that women did in the scriptures that goes unnoticed. All the sacrifices, hard days, and tears shed. Moms are the best! (Especially my mom) So go thank your mom, and also thank my mom while you’re at it.

Love you all!
