Hey everyone!
The extension is officially underway, and I'm hyped! These weeks have been awesome since I last sent an email. We’ve had two baptisms, one of Aide, the daughter of Teresa who got baptized a few weeks ago, and Monserrat, the daughter of a sister who is reactivating. They were both awesome and really spiritual. We've seen a ton of miracles lately and have a lot of people progressing and going to church. This last Sunday we had 8 of our friends at church, which was such a miracle. Every day is awesome out here. I love this town and the people here so much, and I will be sad to leave them in July. But the next few weeks are shaping up to be great ones, and we will hopefully have a few more baptisms before the end of the transfer.
A few days ago I finished the Book of Mormon again in Spanish. This time I focused on and underlined all the parts that refer to Jesus Christ’s atonement. It was a really special experience to focus on the most important event in history and how the Book of Mormon helps us better understand it. The Book of Mormon is true, and without it I really wouldn't know that Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. If you haven't read the Book of Mormon lately, read it!
" 11 And he shall go forth, suffering pains and afflictions and temptations of every kind; and this that the word might be fulfilled which saith he will take upon him the pains and the sicknesses of his people.
12 And he will take upon him death, that he may loose the bands of death which bind his people; and he will take upon him their infirmities, that his bowels may be filled with mercy, according to the flesh, that he may know according to the flesh how to succor his people according to their infirmities."
Alma 7:11-12
Have a great week!!
