Spencer flew to Mexico on Tuesday and arrived safely!
Hola a todos!
Well I've only sent one email since being at home mtc. I figured most people didn't want to read about me sitting in front of a computer all day haha. But it's been really good! I can hang out with my family, watch kids movies and ride my bike with my friends. So you already know I've watched Megamind and Lego Batman. My district and companion are so cool! It is weird being at home and not being able to do some stuff. But I'm honestly pretty glad I got to do at home mtc. The transition into the field will probably be harder than doing the mtc in person, and I wish i could’ve met my companion and district in person. But there's tons of upsides with it.
Nothing too noteworthy happened the last few weeks. I went on lots of bike rides, said bye to friends and family and stuff. But on Sunday one of the sisters in my district, Hermana Barry, had her farewell, so some of my district from Utah went to it and I got to meet her, Elder Kendall and Elder Jones in person. That was way fun! They're all super cool and Hermana Barry is also going to Pachuca so we are on the same flight next week!
Speaking of flights, I finally got my travel plans! I leave next tuesday at 9:30 in the morning and get to go straight to Mexico! Stoked on that. My friends out in the field have been super good in getting me hyped to head out. Other than that, not a ton has been happening here. I went to Costco with my mom last week and everybody was saying hi and asking about home mtc and asking where i was going and i didn’t even know any of them! That was fun.
On Friday my family is going down to Santa Clara to visit my grandma! Excited to see her but not excited for the heat haha. And then we come home sunday night, probably spend all day Monday packing and then leave Tuesday morning! It feels so crazy that I'm actually going to go. Sometimes it doesn't really feel like I'm on a mission, but I'm already 6 weeks in. The spanish is coming along ok I think. I've kind of accepted the fact that it'll take awhile to learn and that my first couple of transfers are going to be super hard. Just praying for a good trainer! But one thing I've learned during home mtc is the power of prayer! If I'm ever struggling or worried, or unfocused or stressed I'm just a prayer away from comfort! That's helped me a ton. Anyway most of the pictures coming up are from bike rides, because that's kind of all that's been happening, so don't tell me I didn't warn you. But my next update should be from Mexico! I love you all

My awesome district! Elder Twitchell is my companion. Lets just ignore my red face haha. The lighting in my room just makes my skin look super red.
