It was a good first week in Actopan! It's a super good area with lots of work to do. It's also really pretty! There are big mountains and lots of farms. We live in the main downtown area close to the church I sent a picture of last week.
There isn't a whole ton to report on this week. Something cool that happened was we were at church on Sunday and this lady was there, and ended up coming to the gospel principles class, which we shouldn't have, but I'll explain that in a second. Anyway, she's been inactive for a few years, but she just moved here to Actopan with her two kids and they were walking through downtown Sunday morning and her kids saw the catholic church, and the mom told them she was going to show them where she goes to church. So they show up to the chapel and luckily they got there like 5 minutes before the meeting started so they came and we had a really good gospel principles class which we ended up teaching most of. We talked to her after, and she said that was a sign that she needs to come back to church. She also said she wants to bring her family more often, and she has a daughter that's 10! So we will be teaching them more in the future.
We also had a mission wide zoom meeting and one of the questions someone asked was which Sunday school class we should go to. President said with the adults, I asked if we could go to gospel principles and president kinda went off because apparently we don't have the gospel principles class anymore. But we didn’t know that, and our ward has it so we went to help the recent converts. So president made fun of us in front of the whole mission , which was fun. Other than that it's been a really good week! Being district leader has been good, but I honestly don't have to do much extra. It's really just planning district council and checking in on the elders in the district. Anyway, that's about it for the week. It's been a good time!
