Hey everyone!
Another normal week here. We’ve had some awesome stuff happen this week. One of the really cool stories we had this week was our friend Marco Antonio. He is a friend of a member, and we have had a few lessons with him lately. We taught him about prayer, and then the next lesson we had with him he told us that he has an older brother, but Marco messed up a bit and ruined their relationship and they haven’t talked in 2 years. But last week he prayed that he could see his brother and fix their relationship, and that same day, he went to visit his mom, and his brother showed up at the exact same time and they got to make amends. That was such an awesome story, and helped me grow my testimony of prayer, and realize the bigger changes we can help people make.
We also put our friend Eleazar on date for baptism. He’s been progressing really well and is excited to be baptized and continue to change his life for the better.
On Sunday night we visited the Aguilar family. I think I’ve talked about them before. They want to get baptized but aren’t married and it’s hard for them to find a time to get married because Brother Aguilar works in a different state and is basically only here in Pachuca on Sundays. But we visited them yesterday and we just kinda talked and Oscar told us about how he lives in kind of a community house during the week in the other state where he works, and there’s a Christian missionary lady who also lives there. They had some conversations, and she was kinda bashing on our church, and he just told her he doesn’t know everything, but he has a testimony of tithing, because his sister (who is a member) her house flooded and she didn’t get any help from the government or the city or anybody, except for the bishop and the ward, who replaced like everything she lost. So, he kind of just told her he’s got a testimony and to stop bugging him.
That’s about it for the week! I love you all! And general conference is close! Watch it!
Love,
Spencer
