Hey everyone!
This week has honestly been super crazy. On Tuesday we went to the bus station to go on exchanges with the elders in Molango. Its a super cool beautiful mountain town, and its like 3 hours on bus from Pachuca. So we went up there to do the exchanges and it was like 2 of the coolest days I’ve had on the mission.I like Pachuca a lot, but its so different there, and the people are way more open to hearing the gospel. We had like 8 lessons that first day and all of them were in person, and we found 3 new people to teach. On the first day I went with Elder Buttars from Las Vegas. He’s super cool and we got along really well. Then we had district council in person and we switched again and I went with Elder Ramirez for a day. He’s the one I finished training in Tizyuca. He has improved a ton which I’m super happy about. We had another great day and we went to this super pretty hilltop town called Xochicoatlán. Out there its just mountain ridge after mountain ridge and super green with little hilltop towns everywhere. In the evening on the way back to Molango I took a bunch of pictures but the air was super smoky so they don’t look as cool as it looked in real life :( I’ll add the pictures, and just use your imagination. It really was super beautiful.
So we came back from molango on Thursday afternoon. On Friday we got the booster covid shot. I felt pretty okay, but Elder Smurthwaite felt pretty sick.
Saturday was my birthday and it was a super good day! Mostly because of general conference. I really loved conference, and I received a lot of really great answers from the talks. I really liked all of them, but I really liked Elder Oaks, Elder Ochoa, Elder Holland and Elder Bednar’s talks. I’ll just share something from Elder Bednar’s. He talked about the line "we will heed not what the wicked may say, but the Lord alone we will obey" from the hymn Let Us All Press On. I really like that line and had never really thought about it. But as people who follow god and his commandments, people will make comments, say things about us, our beleifs, our leaders and a whole lot of other things. But when we focus more on obeying those commandments, and listening to those leaders, we will be much better off than listening to and focusing on the negative comments of others, we should heed not to what they say.
Also I have been listing to music from the church music festival and there’s a song I really like, called Peace, Peace Be Still. It’s really good and it has a line that I like a lot. It goes "he who made the rising storm can bid its fury fail, or bear me up and give me strength to stand before the gale" It basically means that god can take away our trials, but also give us strength to overcome them. I like that thought a lot. But thats about it for the week! love you all!

P.S. I forgot to talk about transfer news! I'm staying here in Saucillo and I'm with elder Beltran! He went to corner canyon HS in Draper and ran cross country. So we are gonna run every day. I'm really excited honestly
