Miracles Happen!

So really this week has been just grinding trying to find new people. We knocked a lot of doors, set up a lot of lessons, but literally all of them but 1 fell through, so we were pretty bummed because we didn’t find like anyone.

So it’s Sunday afternoon, we go out to a different area to knock doors and we pass this house with lots of voices and stuff coming from inside. I was thinking it was probably a party and that we shouldn’t knock, but Elder Beltran just says "I’m gonna get us in that door." So we knock, the lady comes out and she’s super cool. Then Elder Beltran asks if it’s a family party with food and she says yes and the guy just says "I LOVE Mexican food" and she invites us in and we found like 10 new people to teach. They were all super crazy and we were just so excited to finally find people to teach and the fact that they let us in, were super cool, listened to a message, and all agreed to have us come back the next Sunday to teach them again was just so crazy. Keep the Garcia family in your prayers so that they progress!

This week we also did exchanges with the Zone Leaders, which was super fun. I got to go with Elder Tucker, who is from Gunnison, Utah and just a full cowboy and super cool.

And Elder Bertran and I ran a lot. Today we ran 8 miles in the morning, and then had a zone sports day at president’s house, so we played a bunch of soccer and football, so my legs are so wrecked right now but it’s also been a super fun day!

Really other than that the week has been really good. We are also going to have the baptism of our friend Eleazar this Saturday so keep him in your prayers as well that he will stay strong this week and that everything will go well! I’m really excited for him.

This week I’ve been studying the book of Acts, and I have really never read it but it’s actually super cool! It’s really just the apostles being missionaries after Christ died and all their trials and successes. I love reading about scriptural missionaries. It gives me massive shoes to fill, but it shows me that miracles really happen, and that I have power and support from heaven to help me in this great work. Anyway, I am just having the best time right now, the mission is awesome!
