Hey everyone!
Wow this week was so cool. Since I have Pday on Saturday, I sent my email last week and then the next day Pres. Nelson announced the temple in Pachuca! So that was 6 days ago but the hype has stayed high. Its honestly probably the coolest thing that can happen to someone on a mission.
Also, like I said last time, I loved conference. Especially Elder Holland’s talk on Sunday, it was really awesome. And I really liked the new Book of Mormon videos they made. Those were really cool and will be great tools for teaching.
I’ve also learned a lot from our mission president this week. He has taught me a lot about life, but also about the importance of giving your full attention and love to people. Especially missionaries. I can really tell that he and Hermana Wright really love every single missionary and want the best for them. I feel like that’s something I can apply better to my life and to the people that I’m teaching. When I’m in a lesson to devote all my attention to them, and to show them I care for them and show real interest in the things they say.
Also, I really liked this verse from Doctrine and Covenants 100 this week.
3 Behold,
and lo, I have much people in this place, in the regions round about;
and an effectual door shall be opened in the regions round about
in this eastern land.
4 Therefore, I, the Lord, have suffered you to come unto this place; for thus it was expedient in me for the salvation of souls.
It really hits different when there is an announced temple in your mission! The mission is so cool, I’m loving it here.
