A great start to 2023

 Hey everyone!

Not a ton of time because we have to leave a bit early for a lesson, but this week was really good! We had some awesome lessons, a really good exchange with the zone leaders, and then we had mission leadership council. It was pretty long but we made a lot of good goals and talked about what we need to improve on.

The best part of this week was a new person we started teaching on Wednesday during the exchanges. She was a reference from a sister in the ward right next to ours. She is awesome!! So prepared to hear the gospel. She has already been to sacrament meeting and to a baptism, and the sister from the other ward invited her to that! It was such a cool lesson. It helped me remember that no matter where I, or any other missionary is serving, there are people being prepared to receive the gospel. It reminds me of 2 verses in the Book of Mormon that I like. Alma 16:16-17

16 "...the Lord did pour out his Spirit on all the face of the land to prepare the minds of the children of men, or to prepare their hearts to receive the word which should be taught among them at the time of his coming—

17 That they might not be hardened against the word, that they might not be unbelieving, and go on to destruction, but that they might receive the word with joy, and as a branch be grafted into the true vine, that they might enter into the rest of the Lord their God."

The weeks just keep going by, it’s crazy! I hope you are all happy and starting the year off well!
