Hey everyone!
This week was a good one. We had a lot of good lessons and visits. Nothing out of the ordinary has happened, but our friends are doing really well. Pedro, Norma, and Manuel are doing great, but Norma has to go to Guatemala for a document so she and Pedro can get married. Luckily, she already had a trip to Guatemala planned. Once they are married then they can get baptized. She is planning to go in the first week of June so they should get baptized sometime in June.
We did exchanges with our district leader this week which was fun. I went with Elder Lara from Arizona, and we had a really good time! Some of the lessons cancelled so we found some people and just had a good time. It’s been raining a lot more which I love, but people use it as an excuse to cancel lessons, which I don’t love. But that’s just how it is. And sometimes people still let us visit them, even if it’s raining.
On Sunday we had Sunday School like normal, but in our ward they split it into two groups. One class is for the newer people in the church and those who are returning to activity so that one can be more simple and understandable for them. I really like that format. The teacher taught the parables of the sheep, lost coin and prodigal son really well and in a way that our friends could understand. That was super cool. And it also helped me better understand those parables. The teacher helped us put ourselves in the shoes of all the people in those parables and it helped me understand the importance of love, humility and families.
It was a good class.
Anyway, not a whole lot super exciting or new has been happening. but Elder Cluff and I are doing awesome in Acayuca!
Have a good week,
Elder Stevenson
